National Waterguard ties were produced and distributed by ex-Waterguard staff in Liverpool in about 1971/2. These ties are no longer produced - but still sought after. I am trying to an ex colleagues who I have lost touch with over the years - can you help? George T Mahoney - He joined HM Customs & Excise as an APO in 1966 and was in 'digs' with me at the WTC. We went on to London Airport but George, after being Godfather to my son Karl, then transferred to the NI Land Boundary at Armagh and we lost touch. In 1972 I was posted to Exeter LVO and George was posted to London's West End LVO. |
